Bead 019 - black, and purple with hints of coral accentsJewelry has always excited me... I appreciate the design, texture, structure, color, aura, & even the smell of jewelry.  A true passion, you could say!

As a Central Massachusetts native, I spent many early childhood weekends trolling yard sales.  Purchasing bags of unwanted, discarded jewelry, I would disassemble the baubles and restring the pieces to my liking with great fascination and determination.  I have always wanted to wear unique pieces and have customized my own collection with accessories I created.  I went through phases of creating jewelry with computer chips, telephone wire, puzzle pieces, fimo clay, macramé, household utensils, or any object which appealed to me.

Bead 027 - black base with ivory has vertical dips of decoration in the centerMy fondness for art also drove me to create in various media and to explore a variety of art classes.  I took my first lampworking/bead making class in the fall of 2000 and have been addicted to working with glass ever since!

Currently I am using two different processes to form my glass creations:  lampworking (also known as flameworking) and slumping/fusing.  Besides my ever-growing love for creating glass 'pieces of conversation', I also dabble in painting, wood carving, dyeing fabric, beading clothing, clothing design, welding, soldering, and mosaic design.

I have studied with a variety of glass artisans...
